Foreign Liabilities and Assets every July, without fail.
Every Indian company that has received FDI or made overseas direct investment is required to file the annual Foreign Liabilities and Assets (FLA) return with the Reserve Bank of India by 15 July each year, covering the position as of 31 March. The return covers equity, reserves, debt, intercompany loans, and the foreign investors profile and is checked by RBI against the FDI / ODI records on file.
We prepare and file the FLA return on behalf of clients each year reconciling with the audited financial statements and prior year FC-GPR / ODI filings to ensure consistency.
